Are you Ready for Google’s Mobile Friendly Update?

I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of buzz about Google’s big Mobile Update launching on April 21st. There’s a good reason for all the attention. It’s important.

We’re not talking Panda and Penguin important (although there are businesses out there who have lost 100% of their traffic overnight after those two updates). We’re talking “potentially lose 60% of your current website traffic” important. You see, on April 21st, Google will be swinging their powerful axe and demolishing rankings and mobile search traffic for businesses with unfriendly Google mobile sites. You can expect to see companies who are not mobile friendly disappear from the Google search results overnight. These are Google’s exact words:

“Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”

This is going to be a big headache for small businesses. No matter what, they could be loosing 50% or more of their traffic and business by April 21 if their site is not Google mobile friendly.

The good news is there is a Google Mobile friendly test you can use to test each page on your website. I recommend you test it even if you already have a mobile friendly site. I have tested numerous sites that have one but are not set to Google’s standards. If you’d like us to pull a FREE mobile friendly report on your test, contact us.

If your website doesn’t pass, it’s not too late! You need to act fast and get your site mobile friendly ASAP.
